Founded in 1898, Kenosha Country Club originally opened as a golfing club on Kenosha’s south lakeshore. As Kenosha grew, so did the country club, relocating in 1920 to our present location on the northeast side of Kenosha County. With a new home and an invigorated membership, Kenosha Country Club flourished and in 1969 replaced the seasonal clubhouse with the building of today.
Donald Ross at Pinehurst in 1923
Donald J. Ross (above), one of the world’s premier Architects (Pinehurst, NC; Oakland Hills, MI), created our 18-hole championship layout in 1922, which is considered one of the finest in Wisconsin, and often appears on its list of 'Top Ten' courses.
In 1999, the clubhouse was remodeled in the craftsman style, with quality design elements that provide pleasure to those who appreciate the little things.
The Clubhouse at Kenosha Country Club
Becoming increasingly family oriented, the Club added a heated swimming pool. With the rise in the popularity of tennis, the Club installed tennis courts, where tournaments are played at both state and local levels.
Today, our magnificent and challenging course, with mature tree lined fairways and winding Pike River, blends character and beauty for a unique country club experience.
