Our Director of Tennis and Head Professional, Matt Brothers, is a Kenosha native and 1997 graduate of Marquette University, where he played #2 singles and #1 doubles. After graduating, Matt spent three years playing the Pro circuits in Europe and the United States. He still competes regionally and nationally, and held the #1 ranking in Wisconsin for Men’s Open singles from 2001 to 2004. Matt’s numerous playing accomplishments were recognized in 2002 and 2003 when he was named USPTA Midwest Section Open Division Player of the Year. In addition to being a USPTA Certified Professional, Matt has over 15 years of teaching and coaching experience. He has worked at the prestigious T-Bar M Racquet Club and Academy in Dallas, and also at the Florida International Tennis Academy in Jupiter, Florida. Having spent 6 years as an Assistant Coach for the University of Iowa’s Men’s Tennis Team, Matt is currently the Head Coach of Men’s Tennis at DePaul University. Matt brings an extensive amount of experience, knowledge, and enthusiasm to the courts of Kenosha Country Club. He believes that success in tennis at all levels requires dedication in conjunction with a challenging and enjoyable learning environment. |

Tom Befera is a member of the Professional Golfers Association. Over the years, Tom's many accomplishments include 1991 Professional of the Year, and 1991 and 1992 Wisconsin PGA Teacher of the Year.
Tom has served on the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin PGA, and was Chairman of the Junior Golf Program for the Wisconsin PGA. Tom has been with the Club for 33 years. |

Gary has been involved with golf since the age of twelve, when he looped at Tripoli Country Club. Gary received the Evans Scholarship and completed his degree in Soil Science - Turf Management at UW-Madison. He spent his summers working on the grounds crews at Tripoli and Blackhawk Country Clubs.
After finishing school, Gary moved to Illinois for an Assistant and eventual Superintendent assignment at Medinah Country Club. In the spring of 1995, Gary was hired on as the Superintendent at Brynwood Country Club, where he remained for 10 years. In June of 2005, he took a Superintendent position with Milwaukee County at Whitnall Golf Course, where he has been for the past two golf seasons. Now, Gary is looking forward to the start of a new chapter in his career as the Grounds Superintendent at Kenosha Country Club.
